California-Style Turkey Loaf

Lots of vegetables in this turkey loaf really helps keep it moist, colorful and flavorful. Excellent crock pot – slow cooker recipe.

You will need:

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium Carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 stalk Celery, finely chopped
  • 6 fresh Mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon #112 Masterpiece Salt-Free seasoning
  • 2/3 cup canned Whole Tomatoes (no salt added), drained (save juice) and chopped
  • 2/3 cup fresh Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg, slightly beaten
  • 1-1/2 pounds raw Ground Turkey
  • 1 teaspoon #106 Gusto Salt-Free seasoning

Cooking Instrutions:

Heat oil in large skillet. Sauté onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms and garlic about 6 minutes. Transfer to bowl; let cool. Combine tomatoes, reserved tomato juice with bread crumbs, #112 Masterpiece Salt-Free Seasoning and egg; add turkey; stir in vegetable mixture. Pat mixture into a nonstick or lightly oiled 8-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ loaf pan. Sprinkle with #106 Gusto Salt-Free seasoning. Bake at 375ºF about 1 hour.
